Warlords of the Western Front
Generals Joffre and Kitchener were the grand strategists of the Entente in the opening phases of the Great War. The bloody Italo-Hapsburg front was a sideshow to the main Western front. Italy intervened in Spring 1915, having previously refused to be obliged to support the Central Powers under the terms of the Triple Alliance with them in August 1914.
