Kerensky reviewing troops

The decision by the Prime Minister of the Russian Provisional Government Alexander Kerensky to continue the Russian war effort within the framework of the Triple Entente with France and Great Britain afforded the Bolshevicks a perfect platform on which to organise opposition amongst soldiers, peasants, workers and intellighentsia, splitting the left between constitutionalists and revolutionaries.
